November 1 – November 5

We begin our week with an all-school Mass for All Saints Day. Most classes zoom in while the Seventh grade and Kindergartners are socially distanced in the church.  This is a great way to bring the community together!

 Academics this week:

Social Emotional Lesson 12: Ask, Listen, Learn In this week’s lesson, your child will learn that asking questions, listening, and observing can help you learn more about someone’s point of view when you don’t understand it.

Try This at Home: Tell your child about a time when learning more about a different point of view helped you have empathy. Encourage your child to think of future situations where it might be helpful to learn more about a different point of view in order to get along and show they care.

Math:

Students wrapped up Chapter 2 with an assessment. Chapter 3 focuses on double digit multiplication using the area model with partial products and traditional algorithm. Continued focus on problem solving. Here is a math website with math facts games for your family to check out:

Arcademic Skill Builders (www.arcademicskillbuilders.com)l This free website has loads of math facts practice games. Students can play against each other, as well as against the computer

He joined St. Vincent de Paul at 17 and served the sick, needy, orphans, and vets.  We can continue our devotion to Mary as he did where he prayed to her and received the Eucharist daily. Students will learn how to be responsible, active learners who resolve conflict and treat others as children of God
