February 22 – 26

Hybrid learning is going well. Remind your student that when on zoom they must be on time for class. I am teaching the on campus and remote kids concurrently. If a student is late to the Zoom room, they may end up waiting to be let in. The remote schedule for the day is on the Google Classroom for remote learners so it is clear what to do. Students who are quarantined due to travel are expected to stay on-line with their purple/gold cohorts.

Academics:
Writing:  Compare and Contrast Essay. Focus on using fourth grade level word choice, grammar and editing skills. I prefer students do drafts in their writing notebook. Students who choose to type drafts and are in hybrid, will need to print their work progress for on campus workdays. This is a two week project.
Math: Multiples, Factors, Prime and Composite Numbers and Patterns. Math Test this Wednesday/Thursday. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.OA.B.4  and  CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.OA.C.5
Reading with Ms Halley: RL.4.6 Compare and contrast the point of view from which different stories are narrated, including the difference between first- and third-person narrations
Social Studies: Begin learning about the Oregon Trail. Discuss the overlooked African American contributions and impact on African Americans during the time of the Oregon Trail.
Religion: We continue to discuss Lent.
