March 1 – March 5

Thank you for all the donations for the “Lunches of Love” service project. Enough supplies were collected to create 300 bagged lunches! Thank you to Mrs. Morris for organizing and leading this effort. The Fourth graders will work next week to put the lunches together.

Thank you to Kalyn Gustafson for coordinating the auction project. Kalyn clearly put in a lot of thoughtful effort to be sure all students were able to participate. The final art piece is absolutely stunning!

Academics this week:

Reading: RL.4.6 Compare and contrast the point of view from which different stories are narrated, including the difference between first- and third-person narrations

Math: Fractions! Students will learn how to recognize equivalent fractions and how to compare fractions of different sizes.  CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NF.A.1 and CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NF.A.2.

Writing: We will continue to work on our compare and contrast essays.

Social Studies: We will be reading and responding to historical information about the traveling the Oregon Trail.

Religion: Lunches of Love and Rice Bowl

Math Facts! Please be sure your student practices math facts for about 10 minutes daily. This can be done through Xtramath, flash cards or another parent choice method.
