Curriculum  

Religion: Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Mass on Wednesday.  

Math:  Part two of Chapter 1 test covering 4.NBT.4 and beginning chapter two:  Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations.4.NBT.5

Reading: Bunnicula RL.4.3 Describe in depth a character, setting, or event in a story or drama, drawing on specific details in the text (e.g., a character’s thoughts, words, or actions)  

Vocabulary: suffix less CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.4.4.B
Use common, grade-appropriate Greek and Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of a word 

Spelling: val, vali, valu (strength, worth) 

Grammar: Linking, helping, and action verbs. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.4.1 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. 

Science: We begin our unit on the Human Machine. In this unit, students investigate structures and functions of the human body. Students explore how our bones and muscles are interconnected, how our eyes interact with light and impact our vision, and how our brain responds to stimuli in our environment.
