Distance Learning Holy Week April 6- 10

Thank you for all your support, hard work and dedication these past few weeks. You are amazing! It is a huge challenge to balance work, life and family under normal times, it is particularly challenging now!

Below is my teacher plan for the week. I am sharing this with you since we are in this together. Google Classroom is our hub for learning and communication.

In observance of Holy Week the work load is a bit lighter. This Friday is Good Friday. Our group meeting is moved to 10am.Here is a two minute video about Holy Week:  https://safeYouTube.net/w/7ho4

Again this is just a guide so you know what to expect. Google Classroom is the place where the magic happens!

If your child has questions about Google Classroom please have them ask me. Encourage your child to sign in for the Google Class meets this week. Monday/Friday at 10am for whole group and Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday at 10am small group.

March 30 Distance Learning

I had so much fun seeing all you students at our Class Google Meet Ups on Thursday and Friday! We will have two meet ups a week that all are invited to. “Wood Block Collage”

This statement-making wood wall art features colorful wood blocks in various shades of blue, hand-painted by Mrs. Martin’s 4th grade class. This mosaic adds texture and dimension to your walls, with varying heights of the blocks increases visual interest. The piece is 17 inches by 28 inches with a pine frame. This could be the showcase piece of art in your house!

Science: send an email to summarize what you learned from your science book and activity to your teacher.

Figurative language/Grammar: What is personification? Personification practice.

Spelling /Vocab: Take the Vocabulary Quiz in Google Classroom.

Achieve: Do an achieve article of choice. Make sure to get 75% or higher on activity doing the activity.

Social Studies: Chapter 6. Read pages 128-132. Answer Memory Master Questions on page 132. You can type your answers in Google Classroom!

Science: Read your assigned science book. This is the second folder marked Week Two!

Figurative language/Grammar: Do What are Similes? And Complete the Simile sheet.

Spelling/Vocab: Tri- do weekly practice and make flash cards for the words.

Friday March 20

Religion: The Beatitudes: Please refer to the Beatitude packet. Read, reflect, and respond with words and/or pictures to the Fifth Beatitude

 

Math Do xtramath and 2 columns of review page in homework packet.  Do one page from What’s the Problem? Problem solving packet.

 

Reading: Read your novel for at least 30 minutes. List 5 character traits of the main character. Remember to be specific and refer to the text. Respond in your composition notebook.

 

Achieve: Do an achieve article of choice. Make sure to get 75 or higher on activity doing the activity.

 

Science: Send an email to summarize what you learned from your science book and activity to your teacher.

 

Spelling: have someone at home quiz you on your words.
